There is often a disconnect between the extraordinary learning process, 21st-century competency development, skill development, and products created within an inclusive Makerspace environment and the assessment practices used to assess learners. Educators often struggle to assess such work, particularly, using inclusive assessment strategies and tools.

Inclusive assessment aims to tackle assessment at the point of design in order to ensure that the ways in which we assess do not exclude or unfairly disadvantage some students.
